Precision Wavefront Analysis in the Shortwave Infrared Spectrum

In advanced optics and photonics, Shortwave Infrared (SWIR) applications are gaining prominence across defence, aerospace, telecommunications, and scientific imaging. Ensuring precise wavefront integrity in this spectral region requires tools that offer both accuracy and adaptability. Enter the SID4-SWIR Wavefront Sensor from Phasics – a compact, high-resolution interferometric sensor specifically designed to characterise wavefronts in the 0.9–1.7 µm range.

Now available in India through United Spectrum Instruments, the SID4-SWIR brings Phasics’ patented QuadriWave Lateral Shearing Interferometry (QWLSI) to the SWIR domain, delivering single-shot, nanometric wavefront and intensity measurement capability.

The SID4-SWIR Wavefront Sensor is an advanced optical metrology solution optimised for the shortwave infrared (SWIR) spectrum, typically 900 – 1700 nm. Using Phasics’ patented quadriwave lateral shearing interferometry (QWLSI®) technology, it delivers precise, quantitative phase measurements for SWIR lasers, optics, and imaging systems. Compact, alignment-free, and robust, it provides real-time characterisation of aberrations, beam quality, and optical performance. The SID4-SWIR is ideal for defence, semiconductor, and photonics industries, as well as research institutions requiring high-accuracy SWIR metrology for system validation, R&D, and industrial quality assurance.
